This is an important part of the collection, and include the following groups:
Navigational aids such as ship’s compasses , sextants and wheels;
Navigational marker buoys, acquired from Trinity Buoy Wharf, Bow Creek, together with mooring buoys;
A representative typology of anchors, covering the period 1790-1950;
Diving and salvage gear, including the traditional helmet, canvas suit, weighted boots and hand-powered fresh-air pumps.
