See the list below for an overview of the resources available in the Information Zone. Please note that some of these resources need to be booked out at the reception desk and are therefore only available at certain times of the week.

Resources available for browsing

Reference books

A variety of reference books with topics covering the history of London, the docks, shopping and retail.

Photographs

Seven portfolio's of images from Museum Of London Docklands Library and Archives, each portfolio focuses on one of the major docks and shows various aspects of their histories.

Topic files

Topics include the history of various local branches of Sainsbury's, comparative price lists, product design.

Online resources

A range of online resources are available from the computers in the study centre.

Films

A number of films from the Port of London Authority Archive can be booked out free of charge.

Journals

Two main sources are available, the Port of London Authority Monthly and the JS Journal, the in-house publication for Sainsbury's.

Electronic references

There also a number of resources available on CD-ROM including Journey's through Victorian London, which uses the collections of Museum Of London to illustrate the era which saw the birth of London as a modern city.
