|
The new Sainsbury Study Centre, located at the Museum in Docklands, provides access to a range of archival material including:
|
The Sainsbury Archive, which documents the history and development of one of the nation’s best known and oldest food retailers from 1869, when it was founded in London, through to the present day.
The Museum in Docklands Library & Archives, comprising the archives of the Port of London Authority and other collections which chart the development and activity of the port and docklands from 1770 onwards.
These extensive collections include documents, photographs, prints, plans, objects and film and sound recordings. Together they provide a wealth of information for the study of many aspects of social, economic and local history.
Key digital and paper-based resources from the library and archives are available for browsing in our information zone, while the separate search room is open by appointment for visitors who wish to explore primary sources in more depth - further information is available at the desk.
