"Nana came this evening and brought the Family Herald.
The baths opened today*.
Marjorie went and bought her Playtime this evening.
I went out in the evening and played with Antram, Rugg, Boots, Jones and a few others.
When it came the time for us to go in Antram and the two Hammonds walked home with me and then I had a row with Antram.
Eric Fox from Gough Street brought his ball round into Canton Street and we had a game.
Weather: - Cold. rainy and Windy. No snow. Overcast."
*The Poplar Baths in East India Dock Road. Opened in 1852, the baths were hugely popular and provided both private and public bathing, and first and second class facilities. The main pool was converted to a dance hall during the winter months, and presumably converted back for swimming on the first of May.
