Summary guide to the Sainsbury Archive: introduction and index

This guide provides an overview of the archive’s holdings, arranged under subject headings. It is intended as a first step to enable researchers to identify which records they might wish to consult; please contact the Archivist for more detailed advice on individual record series.

The archive classification scheme is currently being revised and so there is some overlap between categories – in these cases, cross references to other sections of the Guide have been included.

Following a 2-year project to produce a full archive catalogue using DS CALM software, work on editing descriptions, linking to images and adding new records is ongoing, with a view to making the catalogue publicly available online in due course.
