If you’re looking for something fun and free for all the family to do during October half term then come along to Museum of London Docklands for a great day out that everyone can enjoy.

Come and help us make a giant model of London, full of fantastic buildings! This is a creative workshop for families as part of our Big Draw day. Suitable for all children aged 2+.
Abdul Miah, the lascar

Meet Abdul Miah, an Asian sailor on board the Fort William East Indiaman. He has tales to tell of his bravery, travels and adventures.

Using computer technolgy, make your own poster to celebrate Black History Month.

Join our storyteller and Anasi the spider in his garden. He may need help digging his yams or he may be tricking Tiger out of his dinner. Meet his friends Cunning Fox and Snappy Crocodile and have fun chattering with the monkeys. An interactive workshop for under 5s and their carers with stories that celebrate Black History Month. Older siblings welcome.

Discover the inspiring story of Ellen Craft, the talk of Victorian London. Ellen's imagination and bravery helped her overcome many dangers to play a leading part in abolishing the slave trade.
Make a 'freedom' box or purse

Make your own abolitionist box or purse with an anti-slavery campaign design, then decorate it.
