The 'On Track 4 Gold' exhibition will feature 15 stunning back drops illustrating the growth of a multicultural society in London since 1948, as well as pictures, information boards and life-size cut outs of athletes.

Jak Bubeula-Dodd, Director of On Track 4 Gold said:

"Because London is such a rich city of diverse people and cultures this was a major factor in the capital becoming the first city to be awarded the Olympic games 3 times.

"In the run up to the forth coming London games in 2012 (London 2012), On Track 4 Gold has been created to raise public awareness about Britain's past Olympic heritage and London's diverse history spanning the first London games in 1908 right up to the present day (1948 London Olympics.

British Gold Medal Winner: Jonathan Edwards

We're looking forward to revealing who young Londoners think is the 'best among the best' of British talent in the world's most exciting sporting event."

The exhibition will run at the Museum in Docklands until Tuesday 26 September and will move to The Old Truman Brewery in East London on Monday 2nd October, ending on Friday 27th October.
