A number of themes are seen throughout the Museum's galleries, each relating to the Thames and London's docklands.

Written by the Museum curatorial staff in conjunction with the access and learning team, the themes were chosen to relate both to the National Curriculum and to the interests of our visitors. The themes, examined in detail on this website, include the development of the docks, the River Thames, the docks at war and the regeneration of the docks.
