Adults learning at the Museum

Adult learning

Museum Of London Docklands adult learning programmes contain a rich variety of events for visitors wanting to find out more about the national and international role of London’s port, river and people.

With your annual ticket you can attend free lectures and gallery tours; although we recommend that you book for the tours which are for small groups only. Lectures take place n our comfortable theatre with seats for 150 wheelchair access and an induction loop.

Other special events include study days which explore in-depth subjects including local history and the significance of international trade; film screenings complement the stories told in our galleries and are often accompanied by an introductory talk; opportunities to get involved with archaeological investigations of  the local environment; photography workshops; performances and weekly adult education classes.

Introductory talks giving a short illustrated history of the docks and the museum itself can be organised on application.
