Family learning at Museum Of London Docklands

Explore the stories of London’s port and people with our family events. Creative and enjoyable learning is at the heart of Museum Of London Docklands' programme for families with activities every weekend as well as special half-term and holiday programmes.

Check out our event programme to see what is coming up – you could meet all sorts of people, perhaps a Victorian pub landlady or a sailor from a steam ship; sit back and enjoy one of our storytelling sessions; find out some knotty secrets from a real - life rigger or explore the galleries with a special gallery activity back-pack.

Our exciting children's gallery, Mudlarks, brings the history of London's docks to live with a wide range of hands-on interactives and a soft play area for younger visitors. In this gallery children can learn through play about as they explore the power of water, find buried objects in a foreshore model, load a ship and try not to tip it over and play at train driving or ship loading in the soft play area.

Every Monday morning during term-time the Mudlarks gallery hosts toddlers and carers. A programme of events often accompanies these sessions.

Please note: Most of the events are free but some may require advanced booking.
