Schools
Museum Of London Docklands' programme for schools has something for all ages, from Foundation Stage through to sixth form. It offers a variety of learning experiences from artefact handling, storytelling and gallery drama through to more formal presentations and debates, all led by experienced educators. Each session is supported by free photocopying resources.
The Museum is perfectly situated to support the teaching of Regeneration, being situated at the heart of London’s Docklands. One of our most popular days for schools, it comprises a tour of the local area, an opportunity to investigate land use and population, as well as the New Port, New City gallery in the Museum.
There is also a lunchroom, a shop with many pocket money items, and galleries showing Docklands life from Roman times to the present day.
The Museum is within easy walking distance of Canary Wharf station on the Jubilee line, West India Quay on the DLR, and has good access from the M25, M11, A12 and A13.
