Engineering works on the DLR and tube network

During 2010 essential improvement works are continuing to take place on the DLR which will affect services to West India Quay station. Please check the details below to see whether your journey may be affected.

Current disruption:

6-7 Mar: DLR services will be suspended between suspended between Canning Town and Beckton. Rail replacement buses will operate:
Service A: Between Canning Town and Beckton, calling at Royal Victoria, Custom House, Prince Regent, Royal Albert, Beckton Park, Cyprus and Gallions Reach.
Service B: Between Canning Town and ExCeL (Express service - Sunday only, 9am - 6.30pm)

The following long-term service disruptions will be taking place on routes which stop at West India Quay:

  • Southbound trains travelling from Bank to Lewisham between peak hours (6.30-10am and 4-7.30pm Monday to Friday) will use the flyunder, bypassing West India Quay station. Passengers wishing to alight at West India Quay will be advised to change at Canary Wharf for a northbound train. All northbound trains from Canary Wharf will continue to stop at West India Quay. Trains travelling to and from Stratford will continue to stop at West India Quay. Download leaflet (400kb PDF).
    Other service changes taking place will include:
     - More frequent trains during weekday peak times between Tower Gateway and Beckton, Bank and Woolwich Arsenal and Bank and Lewisham. Although the Blackwall to Woolwich Arsenal service will reduce in the evening peak
     - Services between Stratford and Lewisham will reduce to every seven minutes during weekday peak times and every 10 minutes between Stratford-Crossharbour during weekday late evenings
     - At weekends, train frequency doubles between Bank and Lewisham during daytime peak times. All trains from Stratford will terminate at Canary Wharf

While services are disrupted we recommend that you travel to Canary Wharf on the Jubilee line and follow the signs for Museum Of London Docklands (approx 10 minute walk).

To help you find the Museum we advise printing out the map to Museum of London Docklands before you visit.

There are likely to be minor disruptions to Jubilee Line service over the coming months, which may extend the duration of your journey.
