Information for visitors with impairments
There is full physical access to all public areas, including galleries, learning rooms, shop, café and theatre, in the Museum in Docklands. Our Visitor Assistants can help throughout your visit. If you have any requirements please ask at the Admissions desk on arrival.
In addition the Museum can provide various services for visitors with:
- The Museum has disable parking spaces for blue and orange badge holders. Please drive to the front of the Museum and at the barrier explain that you are visiting the Museum and you will be given access. There is also a public car park directly behind the Museum, in Hertsmere road.
- Lift access to all floors of the Museum in Docklands
- Accessible lavatories and baby changing room
- Wheelchairs and disability scooters available to borrow from the Information Desk during your visit
- Spaces for wheelchair users in the theatre and learning rooms available
- Folding seats to available to visitors
